The Maihof Library in Schindellegi, Switzerland, has been transformed into a real reading paradise with dark walnut veneer with light-coloured sapwood. Roser AG supplied the extravagant veneer, while MAB Möbel AG from Muotathal carried out the elaborate work. A good 2,400 square metres of the material were needed for the school library. The special look of the walnut veneer was intended to imitate the spines of books in a library and ensure a particularly lively appearance. The dark walnut veneer was selected on the basis of variants displayed on a large magnetic wall in Roser's konzept.raum. The project shows how natural products in the form of attractive veneer and entertaining reading can harmonise well together.
