Regional walnut veneer for the new government council table of the Canton of Basel-Stadt from Roser AG

We had the honour of supplying veneer for an outstanding piece of regional craftsmanship for the new plenary hall table of the government council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt. The selected walnut veneer comes from a forest in the airport area in the Basel region and emphasises our commitment to sustainable and local resources.

The veneer was carefully processed to a precise thickness of 0.9 mm at the last Swiss veneer slicing plant in Rohrbach to preserve the natural beauty and structure of the walnut wood. The veneer selection process took place in our innovative concept.room, where great care was taken to select the perfect material for this prestigious project.

Schreinerei Stolz GmbH from Münchenstein was responsible for masterfully crafting the veneer into an impressive plenary hall table. The joinery's high level of craftsmanship has made it possible to create a piece of furniture that is both functional and a visual highlight in the new government council chamber.

"We are proud to have been chosen for such an important project and to have been able to utilise our local wood resources to create a central element for political work in Basel," said Tobias Scherg, Managing Director of Roser AG. "This project demonstrates the importance of sustainability and local production in our industry."

The new plenary hall table will not only serve as a functional piece of furniture, but also as a symbol of the combination of traditional craftsmanship with modern utilisation of sustainable local resources.
