Sapwood and heartwood are only moderately separated. The sapwood is greyish yellow and narrow. The heartwood is grey-brown to red-brown and mostly irregularly interspersed with darker to black veins. The wood has a nice shine and is very decorative. The structure is straight and fine grained, the texture is medium fine and uniform throughout.
