Oak veneer for the Winkel kindergarten
The new double kindergarten in Winkel is located close to the pedagogical school and a new housing estate. It was important to the creative minds at Brandenberger Kloter Architekten to use natural materials.
In Roser AG's concept.room, various indigenous wood species were presented. In order to be able to realistically assess the effect of the woods, the architects sampled the veneer sheets in different installation types over a large area on the magnetic wall. The choice fell on oak, which is native to Switzerland. Installed in a natural plank pattern, it blends unobtrusively into the building and creates a calm and natural permanence.
